COMBAT FOCUS SHOOTING INSTRUCTOR
NRA Instructor #052010547
Shooting became more than just a casual hobby for me when I found my way to Arkansas around 2000. I joined Twin Lakes Gun Club and began to participate in local competitive matches and very quickly became obsessed with being the best competitor I could be. Over the next several years my good friend Mike Sisk and I immersed ourselves in countless training sessions and shooting competitions. I have competed in local, state level, and national level competitions in 3 Gun shooting, USPSA handgun and IDPA. I have numerous local and state championships in all and have a Grand Master rating in USPSA as well as a Master rating in Idpa.
I'm still an avid competitor to this day, but several years ago I began to change my focus from competition to defensive training. It didn't take very long for me to understand that while I learned valuable shooting and gun handling skills on the competition range, learning skills to defend myself or someone else is a whole different animal. My training since then has involved both basic and advanced handgun and carbine, as well as close quarters training and two man team tactics. I am an NRA pistol instructor and a Combat Focus Shooting instructor.
Elka, Mike and I look forward to training with you at Barren Creek!
